"The Big Time" is a new comedy that follows the story of Gabe and Dave, two distant cousins who moved to Hollywood in an attempt to make it big. The duo have the look, the confidence, and the dreams needed to be successful in Hollywood. But they lack one crucial thing: talent! The boys are guided by the suspicious Dr. J, their new manager and landlord, whose profession and true intentions are unclear.

Moving out to Hollywood from the Midwest, Gabe has very high aspirations. A member of the football team at his community college, Gabe was bitten by the acting bug when asked to play a football player in a school play. It only took him three lines to realize he was destined to be a star. Drawing inspiration from his role models, Vin Diesel and Wesley Snipes, Gabe wants to be the next great action hero. In fact, he tells his friends and family that he wants to be known to the world as the "White Wesley Snipes."

Dave dreams of becoming a world famous musician. When Dave's mom informed him that his cousin Gabe was planning to move to Los Angeles, Dave thought it was the perfect time for him to pursue his dream. He bought a guitar and spent the summer learning the instrument, or at least learning three different chords. While he doesn't know his cousin very well, he is excited to be taken under his cousin's wings and live the Hollywood lifestyle. As he will quickly learn, Los Angeles is a very different place than his hometown in Oregon.

Dr. J, whose real name is unknown, runs "Dr. J's House for Actors." The guys discovered his website online and immediately felt it was the perfect fit for them. He provides the guys with a place to live and also doubles as their Hollywood agent. Dr. J, who also runs several mysterious businesses on the side, strongly believes that the sky is the limit for Dave and Gabe, as long as they make their rent payments on time.
